Description

Organophilic modified clay is used for gelation of diesel-based drilling muds.

Range of applications

The reagent is used as a gelling additive in the diesel-based drilling muds. It is used in the concentration of 5.7 - 28.5 kg/m3 according to the required parameters and drilling conditions. The maximum concentrations are used for the preparation of packer fluids as well as in other special systems. The maximum viscosity is usually achieved after full circulation of the fluid through a bit, therefore, be careful at initial mixing and do not exceed the concentration specified in the program.
